Mumbai, April 13 - Ryan Gosling's sci-fi space movie Project Hail Mary continues its excellent theatrical run, emerging as one of 2026's biggest global success stories. The film has crossed the 65 crore mark at the Indian box office while simultaneously storming past the $500 million milestone worldwide.

Project Hail Mary Eyes 100 Crore Finish In India

The Gosling starrer has been a surprise blockbuster at the Indian box office. Despite facing a tough challenger in the form of Dhurandhar 2, the film managed to click with audiences and has been growing purely on word of mouth. It minted around 12 crores gross in its third weekend in all versions, pushing its total India gross to 65.75+ crores in 18 days.

With word of mouth still propelling it and keeping strong, Project Hail Mary might target a 100 crore finish in India. However, it will be interesting to see how things work out when Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla arrives next week, which will take away some screens. The advantage for Hail Mary is IMAX screenings, as it will retain most of them.

On the global front, the film has officially crossed the $500 million mark after its fantastic fourth weekend, with its worldwide total standing at $510 million. The film has delivered a balanced performance across domestic and international markets, grossing over $250 million each, making it one of the highest-grossing films of the year so far.
