Dacoit Worldwide Pre-Release Theatrical Business: Adivi Sesh Starrer Needs 60 Crore To Break-Even

Hyderabad, April 9 - Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's romantic action drama Dacoit is steadily building momentum ahead of its theatrical release, with the film locking a solid pre-release business across key territories. The movie, which blends action with an emotional love story, is scheduled to release on April 10 in multiple languages.

As per Telugu trade reports, Dacoit has secured a worldwide theatrical business of around 30 crore. The majority of this comes from the Telugu states, where the film enjoys a strong base thanks to Adivi Sesh's consistent track record.

The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions contribute the largest share, accounting for around 20 crore, while North India and overseas markets have added decent value, indicating growing interest beyond the core Telugu audience. The makers have ensured a balanced distribution strategy, avoiding overpricing in any territory.

With the theatrical rights valued at approximately 30 crore, the film is expected to target over 60 crore gross worldwide to achieve break-even status and emerge as a clean success. This puts Dacoit in the mid-range category, where performance heavily depends on word-of-mouth and audience reception rather than just star power or massive openings.

Dacoit will probably need to become Adivi Sesh's highest-grossing film to emerge as a box office hit. The actor's 2022 biographical action drama film, Major, is currently the biggest grosser with around 61 crores worldwide. The good thing is that Sesh has consistently delivered successes, and the same is expected from Dacoit.
