Sunny Deol Confirms His Next Two Releases After Border 2 Success

Mumbai, February 12 - Bollywood star Sunny Deol has been having a dream run since the historic comeback with Gadar 2, which was a massive blockbuster at the box office. It's follow-up, Jaat (2025), continued the winning streak for the actor, and now, Border 2 has become a big hit with worldwide collection nearing 450 crores gross.

With Border 2 currently running in theatres, fans have been wondering which will be his next release. Sunny Deol has several films in the pipeline, and during the success meet of Border 2, he confirmed his immediate releases.

The actor said that his next release will be Gabru, which is directed by Shashank Udapurkar. While he didn't reveal the release date, he hinted that it would be released before his Lahore 1947, which is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, and will be released on Independence Day 2026.

Talking about Gabru, Sunny Deol said that it is a very emotional film about a person who comes to a big city from a small town to chase his dream. He said that it is very close to his heart and will make everyone emotional. He also said that it might now be released on a massive number of screens. He didn't reveal the specific reason for it, but said that he loved this film.

So, going by Sunny's words, it will be Gabru, which is his immediate next, followed by Lahore 1947 on Independence Day, and then there is the epic, Ramayana Part 1, on Diwali. He plays the role of Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari's directorial, which is easily the biggest Indian film in the making.
