Chennai, April 11 - After a blockbuster theatrical run, the Tamil coming-of-age romantic comedy Youth is all set to reach a wider audience on digital platforms. The film, helmed by Ken Karunas, has garnered attention for its fresh take on modern relationships and youth culture.

Youth Set For Netflix Debut On April 16

As the buzz around Youth is steadily building as it prepares for its OTT debut, the makers have officially confirmed that the film will premiere on Netflix starting April 16, 2026. The film will be available digitally after a four-week theatrical run, as has become the norm in the Tamil industry.

Youth features Ken Karunas in the lead role alongside Anishma Anilkumar, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Blending romance, humour, and emotional depth, the film explores themes of friendship, love, and self-discovery, making it a relatable watch for today’s generation.

Blockbuster Theatrical Run At The Box Office

During its theatrical run, Youth managed to connect well with the audiences, particularly college-goers and young adults, thanks to its breezy storytelling and grounded characters. The film's coming-of-age narrative, combined with light-hearted moments and a contemporary backdrop, has been one of its biggest strengths.

It is one of the biggest Tamil hits of the year, with a gross collection of around 70 crores at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie has grossed around 58.50 crores, while overseas collection is around 11.50 crores in 23 days so far.

With its arrival on Netflix, Youth is expected to find a much larger audience across regions, especially with dubbed versions, including Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. The OTT release will also give viewers who missed it in cinemas a chance to experience the film from the comfort of their homes.
