Mumbai, April 12 - The release plans for Varun Dhawan-fronted Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai continue to evolve as the makers fine-tune their box office strategy. The much-awaited romantic entertainer, also starring Mrunal Thakur and Poorja Hegde, has now undergone yet another shift in its release timeline, adding to the growing curiosity around the film.

Initially planned for an April 2026 release, the film was first postponed to June 5, 2026, before being officially rescheduled to June 12, 2026. The change was largely attributed to a crowded release calendar, with multiple big-ticket films eyeing the same window. The makers were keen to ensure that the film gets a solo run, especially considering its mass appeal and family-friendly genre.

However, the latest developments suggest a significant change in plans. On Sunday (April 12), the makers officially announced that the film will now be released earlier on May 22, with a first look glimpse coming tomorrow, on April 13. The decision is taken keeping the best interest of the movie as far as the box office is concerned.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai marks the much-anticipated reunion between Varun Dhawan and his father, David Dhawan, a duo known for delivering crowd-pleasing entertainers.
