Mumbai, April 10 - Sunny Deol has been on a roll since the blockbuster hit Gadar 2 in 2023. After back-to-back successes, the actor is set to roar back with an action thriller film with Kill director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt. The duo has been in talks for quite some time now, and have locked their maiden collaboration together.

While the official announcement of the project is yet to be made, according to the report by Pinkvilla, the film has been titled Lakhan. The film is reportedly being designed as a larger-than-life action entertainer packed with adrenaline-pumping sequences, powerful dialogues, and crowd-pleasing whistle-worthy moments that will showcase Sunny Deol in full action avatar.

Lakhan Shoot Begins In October 2026

The pre-production work of Lakhan has already begun, and the makers aim to take the film on floors by October this year. The film has generated massive buzz among the fans and the trade alike, especially after Bhatt's gritty action vision in Kill, which won critical acclaim and also emerged as a success at the box office with around 50 crores gross worldwide.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol will next be seen in an emotional action drama, Gabru, which is scheduled to release in the next couple of months. Later this year, the actor will appear in director Nitesh Tiwari's epic, Ramayana, in which he plays the role of Lord Hanuman, alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Raavan. The first part of the film is scheduled to hit the big screens on Diwali this year.
