Hyderabad, April 6 - Superstar Ram Charan's much-awaited Peddi is generating massive buzz in trade circles despite growing suspense over its release date. The film's theatrical rights for the crucial Nizam territory have reportedly been locked at a staggering 63 crore, making it one of the biggest deals for the region.

Big Business, But Comes With Caution

The Nizam theatrical rights of Peddi have reportedly been acquired by Mythri Movie Makers, after negotiations with 3 leading distributors. However, the final deal for the area will depend on ticket prices. If the makers don't get a ticket hike by the government, the final prices may be reduced by 10-15%.

From a trade standpoint, the 63 crore deal sets a big benchmark, meaning Peddi will need a massive run in Nizam to recover costs and generate profits. With expectations sky-high and stakes even higher, the film is shaping up to be a high-risk, high-reward venture at the box office.

Suspense Over Release Date

Despite the impressive business, uncertainty around the film's release date continues to linger. While the makers have locked April 30, 2026, release, there have been rumours that the movie might be postponed by a month or so due to pending post-production work.

Ram Charan recently confirmed that Peddi will release as scheduled, but the production house has been mum about the same. The uncertainty grew further when the makers didn't mention the release date in the new poster shared a couple of days back on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

Headlined by Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is said to be a sports drama with a strong emotional core. The combination of Ram Charan's star power and Buchi Babu Sana's storytelling has created solid pre-release buzz, encouraging distributors to invest heavily in the project.
