Mumbai, April 4 - Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is on the verge of creating history at the global box office, as it gears up to become the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide without contributions from the Gulf and China markets.

The Gulf is a particularly big market for Indian films. But in the case of Dhurandhar 2, a lot of money was left on the table due to the ban on the film in this region. China, on the other hand, though it can be hugely lucrative, is not a traditional market, as very few Indian films are released there due to various reasons.

If leaving out these two markets, the Ranveer Singh starrer is now within touching distance of Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2 to become the highest-grossing Indian film at the worldwide box office. For context, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion grossed around 170 crores from these two regions during its full run, while Pushpa 2 earned around 50-60 crores in the Gulf, and it wasn't released in China.
