Mumbai, May 13 - After days of confusion around the digital premiere of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the OTT situation surrounding the film has finally become clearer. While Indian audiences were waiting for an official confirmation from JioHotstar, reports now suggest that Netflix will debut the film for international audiences.

Netflix To Debut Dhurandhar 2 Internationally

Netflix has listed the film on its platform. The Ranveer Singh starrer is expected to begin streaming globally on the platform from midnight in several international territories. Netflix will stream the uncut international version of the film outside India starting May 15, while JioHotstar holds the India-specific streaming rights.

The OTT version will be released under the extended title Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Raw and Undekha) and will reportedly include additional footage along with uncensored dialogues that were removed from the theatrical cut. The streaming version is said to be around three minutes longer than the theatrical release.

JioHotstar To Stream The Film In India

Despite the streaming date now surfacing online, JioHotstar has still not officially announced the India premiere date, leaving fans confused on social media. It was assumed that the movie would be released on a single platform worldwide, but with Netflix confirming international release, things have become clear now.

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has emerged as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all-time. The film has grossed 1800 crore worldwide after a historic theatrical run spanning more than 50 days. Meanwhile, fans continue to debate the platform situation online, especially after reports claimed that international viewers would get the extended uncensored version on Netflix before Indian audiences receive any official update from JioHotstar.
