Yash-fronted Toxic Announces Male Star Cast

Bengaluru, February 24 - Yash-fronted action spectacle Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has unveiled its male star cast, further expanding the film's gritty and stylised universe. The makers recently released first-look posters introducing key supporting characters, generating strong buzz across social media and among fans eagerly awaiting the pan-India project.

The biggest addition to the supporting cast is Akshay Oberoi, who will be seen as Tony. His character sports a vintage look with an unmistakably menacing aura, hinting at a flamboyant yet dangerous presence in the narrative. The retro styling and intense expression in the poster suggest that Tony will play a crucial role in shaping the dark world of Toxic.

Another prominent name joining the ensemble is Sudev Nair, who essays the role of Karmadi. Unlike Tony’s flashy demeanour, Karmadi appears restrained, calm, and intimidating, indicating a character driven more by control and power than chaos. Sudev's inclusion adds further weight to the film’s antagonist lineup.

The makers have also introduced Balaji Manohar as Bheera. Known for his strong screen presence, Balaji's rugged look in the first poster hints at a raw and grounded character, likely operating deep within the criminal ecosystem portrayed in the film. British actor Darrell D'Silva has also joined the cast as Salvador, bringing another dimension to the narrative.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is positioned as a stylised gangster drama with international appeal. With Yash in the lead alongside a strong female lead, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukumini Vasanth, and a steadily expanding ensemble cast, the film is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Indian releases on the global stage, with expectations riding high ahead of its theatrical debut. It will release on March 19.
