Mumbai, February 23 - Sunny Deol's much-anticipated period drama Lahore 1947 has reportedly sparked discussions around a possible title change ahead of its theatrical release. The film, which marks Deol's reunion with director Rajkumar Santoshi after years, is set to release on Independence Day this year.

Lahore 1947 is produced by Aamir Khan and is set against the backdrop of India's Partition, one of the most sensitive and defining chapters in the country's history. According to reports, the team feels that a new title might better communicate the film's core themes to a wider audience, especially considering the subject's emotional and historical weight.
