Sunny Deol Begins Shooting For Excel Entertainment's Antony; Cast Details Revealed

Mumbai, March 3 - After the success of Bollywood star Sunny Deol is gearing up for his next set of films. With a couple of films already lined up for release this year, the actor has started shooting for Excel Entertainment's action thriller film Antony in Mumbai.

According to the reports, the shooting of Antony kicked off on February 27 and is expected to be wrapped up by July this year. Billed as a suspense-driven action thriller that features Deol in a full-fledged action role, Antony is being directed by debutante Balaji Ganesh, who has previously assisted AR Murugadoss on numerous big-scale projects.

Antony features Jyothika as the female lead, while Vijay Varma reportedly was roped in to play the main antagonist. It marks their first collaboration with Sunny Deol, who is fresh from the superhit success of Border 2. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani's Excel Entertainment produce Antony in collaboration with A.R. Murugadoss' banner.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol will next be seen in emotional drama Gabru, which is slated to hit the big screens this May. The 68-year-old superstar also has Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947, slated for Independence Day weekend 2026 release, and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 (Diwali 2026), this year.
