Kartik Aaryan's Naagzilla Locks Preity Mukhundhan As A Female Lead

Mumbai, March 5 - Rising actress Preity Mukhundhan has reportedly been locked as the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming fantasy comedy Naagzilla. The film has been generating strong buzz ever since it was announced, mainly due to its unusual concept and Kartik's never-before-seen role.

According to the latest reports, the makers finalised Preity Mukhundhan after considering multiple options for the role. The actress, who has been gaining attention in the South Indian film industry, impressed the team during discussions and auditions, eventually securing the part opposite Kartik.

Naagzilla will see Kartik Aaryan portraying an ichchadhari naag (shape-shifting serpent) in what is described as a quirky fantasy entertainer. The film will blend supernatural elements with comedy, a genre that director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba is well known for after successfully helming the popular Fukrey franchise.

The project is being produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain Films. With a unique storyline and a strong production backing, the film is expected to be one of the most unusual mainstream Bollywood entertainers in development. The film is currently in production for a theatrical release later this year or early 2027.
